Schattdecor offers rotogravure printing, as well as industrial digital printing. In rotogravure printing, the company produces classic wood, stone and fantasy decors in large batch sizes.
Over the past ten years, an increasing demand has developed for a greater variety of decors on the international market. Furthermore, there is a growing trend towards decor customisation. In this context, Schattdecor offers digital printing that provides individual solutions and is creating new opportunities - fast, flexible, and efficient. Schattdecor sees digital printing as the perfect complement to rotogravure printing.
A variety of up to ten colours, material mixes and large-format patterns up to 5.00×2.25m, without duplication, are no longer mere dreams of the future, but are a reality thanks to industrial digital printing. With a speed of up to 162m a minute, the machine is ideally suited to large batch sizes, too. The range of digitally produced decors is remarkable for its uniqueness, creativity and innovation.
Schattdecor has seized the opportunities offered by digital printing, and relaunched its collections accordingly, as 'Hybrid Classics' and 'Digital Visions'. Hybrid Classics is comprised of rotogravure and digitally printed decors, available in at least four collection colours.
Whether as a wood imitation, stone look or fantasy design, all of the Hybrid Classics decors can be colourised. While rotogravure printing offers a maximum of fourcolour printing, digital printing allows up to ten colours. The material mix is another advantage when it comes to digital printing. This process allows different materials to be combined as desired; for example, wood elements and stone textures.
The Digital Visions collection complements the current range with a series of decors that are exclusively digitally printed. For this collection, the designers at Schattdecor have developed especially creative decors, only available in colourways that are optimally suited to the decor. Thanks to industrial digital printing, all of the decors in the Digital Visions collections are also available in large quantities.
